Blue dolphin – queen of the Brexit Sea

Awwww… a dolphin! And I guess if you voted Tory in the County Council elections in Kent you’ll be thinking that it looks like a pretty healthy dolphin.

Not too many blemishes. Just a patch of Green weed around the dorsal fin – which will probably fall off sooner or later… some Liberaldemocraticus fungus and even a small patch of the very rare Kent Corbynista in the midrift, nose and the tail.

But is this dolphin really as strong and stable as it appears to be? I’m not so sure… it appears a bit moth-eaten around the edges.

And it’s swimming upside down! And the wrong way round!

Oh golly.. I think we’re heading for the rocks!

Thanks for lightening up a gloomy result. I’m hoping that all the blue indicates a kind of asphyxiation and that this dolphin will need to breathe soon.

  2. Susan Vadencourt says:

I was expecting a more hopeful result from the voters. Oh well, I will now forever think of my home country as a dolphin swimming in a blue sea. At least that can make me smile if nothing else does.

Well it is good to get some comments about the non event which took place on Thursday, one could be forgiven for asking the question…was there actually an election on the 4th May..?
Except for a few Green Posters around Sandgate, and a few Lib Dem Posters around Faversham, there was nothing to indicate that an actual election was taking place…The turnout was less than 30%, so 2 out of 3 people could not be bothered to go the Voting Station..
Anyway Paul Carter must be pleased as he now has 67 fellow Tories, no troublesome UKIP members, a few Lib Dems, one or two Socialists, and a lone Green Councillor…Happy days are here again for KCC…

    • Thanks Jack..
And then they wonder why everyone is disengaged from politics?
Paul Carter will be delighted as you say – but the absence of an opposition is not good for democracy.
