WYE SOCIAL CARE – THE FUTURE

The Our Place meeting took place as planned last week.

The aim of the meeting was to call for expressions of interest in joining the programme management group – the body which will carry forward the project over the next few months, and which will therefore be charged with pushing forward the community’s plans for a social care co-op, a community connector, a community cafe, and intergenerational projects etc… (Please see this page for more details.)

The meeting was successful in that five people have come forward to join this new group (names to be published in due course), but there are still vacancies. Anyone interested please contact Vinny Mclean (vinnymclean (at) yahoo.co.uk).

The meeting was addressed by Emma Hanson (head of Strategic Commissioning at Kent County Council), and Carolann Samuels from Wye Surgery. And we watched the second Funder Films video about three carers in the community.
