imageAs I mentioned in my last post, I set up a meeting last Tuesday night to discuss possible environmental initiatives in the village.

In total 12 people attended – including representatives from the Agricola Club, the Allotments, the Children’s Playing Field Charity, the Footpaths Association, the Gardeners’ Society, Ground Force, the Neighbourhood Plan, the Parish Council, the Village Hall Charity and the Wye Community Farm.

The aim of the meeting was partly to acknowledge the work that the various groups are doing at the current time, but also to try to agree on common objectives for the future.

It was a high-speed meeting (about two hours to cover all this ground), but participants agreed that it was sufficiently worthwhile that we have arranged another one at the beginning of January.

I have also compiled a Google Doc of possible objectives of which this is a pdf snapshot at the current time: 131019Communityenvironmentinitiatives

Google Docs are collaborative documents which can be accessed by anyone with a gmail or googlemail email address. If anyone would like permission to contribute to the document or would like to be invited to the meeting in January, please apply to me (jasper.bouverie (at) hotmail.co.uk).

The document will also change as we make progress (hopefully!) so I will update the pdf every now and then – and place the objectives among the pages on the blog (accessible from the dropdown menu).
