Yesterday I drove with a friend to see the inspirational Singleton Environment Centre (and to walk the dogs). I hadn’t realised that the building was designed by Duncan Baker-Brown and Ian McKay: I’d written about their future house in the Guardian in 1995, just as they were starting out. Good to see that they are still on message.
(I’ve since been in touch with Duncan Baker-Brown and found out that it’s not one of their’s at all! They were short-listed. The contract was awarded to ARCHITYPE. But BBM are nevertheless still on message! )
