HOUSING DEMAND IN WYE

wyeview 063This afternoon I dropped into my nearest estate agent Foxwood MacLean to find out about the demand for housing in the village – and Adrian Thompson directed me to two useful pages on Rightmove.co.uk

The first shows the number of people currently registered to find property in TN25 (7,100). 8,300 searched specifically for Wye in November 2012.

The second shows the market trends for sales of houses in TN25. This shows that the average price has remained fairly constant over the past seven years despite fluctuation in the number of properties sold.

These two pages show why Imperial College would dearly love to sell their land at Wye to housebuilders. There  is no shortage of people who want to come and live here and they’re willing to pay high prices despite the recession.
