In 2007 villagers in Todmorden started growing herbs in the town planters… They were community herbs. Everyone could use them.

The idea caught on. Now Incredible Edible grows vegetables and fruit trees on community land – outside the schools, the health centre, churches, the fire station and the police station.

Every school in the town is now involved and the project, which has brought international acclaim for the village, promotes food-based learning for the community as a whole.

Would you support such a scheme here in Wye?
